James Randolph Rogers is an artisan and craftsman from the Stroud Valleys.
He was trained in the art of Dry Stone Walling in 2001 and spent 2 years working as an apprentice before setting up on his own.
Since then, he has travelled extensively. Teaching in Japan, hitch hiking boats to the Caribbean and South America, working for 5 years in the New York art world, and mastering the art of historic block printed wallpaper recreation.
He now lives and works back in the Stroud Valleys and divides his time between building beautiful Dry Stone Walls and recreating historic wallpapers for clients around the world. View the wallpaper website.
He often builds walls with his partner, Kirsty Donnelly, one of very few female dry stone Wallers. She has been working with him since 2019 and has the same fastidious approach to walling.
JRR also offers dry stone tuition for potential Wallers of all ages and backgrounds.
Please get in touch to discuss any dry stone projects or if you are interested in joining or hosting future dry stone courses.
